Lu Zhangong inspects modern public cultural service system in Hunan
From June 5 to 8, headed by Vice-chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Lu Zhangong, a special investigation team from the Subcommittee of Science, Education, Culture, Health and Sports of the CPPCC visited Hunan?to investigate "construction of modern public cultural service system".
During the investigation, Vice Chairman Lu praised highly the achievements yielded by Hunan.
The delegation listened to the descriptions of constructing modern public cultural service system by the Hunan Provincial People's Government and relevant departments, and exchanged ideas concerning related issues. Afterwards, they presented flower baskets to the bronze statue of Mao Zedong in Shaoshan.
In recent years, Hunan has incorporated modern public cultural service system into the overall plan of building a culturally powerful province. It has constantly improved public cultural facilities, reinforced establishment of public cultural service system, and strengthened cultural heritage protection and talent cultivation. As a result, cultural life has been enriched and cultural rights and interests of the masses safeguarded.
