Anti-Japanese War veteran returns to his hometown- Pingjiang

On the afternoon of June 8, fellow villagers in Cenchuan Town of Pingjiang County in Yueyang City warmly welcomed Huang Gang (2nd L), veteran of the Anti-Japanese War.. The veteran, who is now 95 years old, left his hometown at the age of 16 when he decided to join the army at 18, has now decided to settle down in his hometown. Though settled in Guangxi Province after China's victory, he had been waiting to return to Hunan for years.
