Du Jiahao discusses cooperation with Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan
On the morning of May 20, Governor of Hunan Province Du Jiahao met in Shanghai with Rustam Minnikhanov, president of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation, who along with the Russian delegation attended the 4th Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) Summit. The Hunan Provincial People's Government and the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan jointly signed an agreement on economy, trade, science, technology and cultural cooperation.
Du Jiahao said, as a province powerful in economy and population, Hunan enjoys obvious geographical advantages, boasting favorable industrial basis, advanced scientific and technological education, as well as huge market potential. With the constantly deepening China-Russia overall strategic collaborative partnership, Hunan will proactively develop practical cooperation with Tatarstan in various fields; encourage competitive Hunan enterprises like Zoomlion, Sany Heavy Industry, Broad Homes Industrial Co., Ltd, and Longping High-Tech to invest in Tatarstan for win-win results.
Rustam Minnikhanov said Tatarstan has good industrial foundation in such fields as energy and chemical industry, aviation industry, and machine manufacturing. He welcomed Hunan enterprises to invest in Tatarstan and further cooperation in areas including economy, trade, energy, and electronic information between the two sides.
