Michelle Jin, from China's Zhejiang Province, won championship at the 2014 NPC (National Physique Committee) Junior USA Women’s Physique – Class A this month.  The win earned her IFBB Pro status, which means she can take part in the US professional bodybuilding competition.

The 40-year-old Jin was born in a humble village in the southeastern China. She moved to the US to pursue her career 18 years ago without her parent's consent.

She used to be truck driver and waitress before taking up bodybuilding in 2005.

"It's really tough to prepare for the contest. I want to be a fitness specialist in the US," Jin told the Wenzhou Evening News on May 29.
